ESO Imperial Fragments: New Currency & How to Get Them
ESO Imperial Fragments are an account-wide currency acquired from monster kills in the Imperial City and the dungeons located on the zone.
The old Imperial Keys and Key Fragments in ESO have been converted to this new account-wide currency. Keys and Key Fragments in ESO will be automatically converted from your inventory, or when they first go into your inventory from banks, guild traders etc.
Unlike Tel Var, you do not lose Imperial Fragments on death.
The Vaults found in the Imperial City District and the Imperial City Prison and White-Gold Tower Dungeon Vaults found can now be entered freely since you no longer need keys to enter. Previously you would find a chest that you open with Keys, but now you will find a new Dremora vendor called Tur in each of these vaults. Tur carries different wares depending on the Vault you find her in
How to get Imperial Fragments
ESO Imperial Fragments currency is acquired from defeated enemies in the Imperial City, Imperial City Sewers and Bosses in the White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison Dungeons on Veteran Mode. The new currency must be looted from enemies, but after that it is added to the currency tab and will not take any space in your inventory like the old Key Fragments did.
Unlike Tel Var, the Fragment drop rate is not effected by any multipliers therefore you will always get the same amount from looting enemies.
Imperial Fragment drop amounts in ESO
- All npc enemies in Imperial City Districts and Sewers have a chance to drop 1 Imperial Fragment
- District Bosses drop 6 Imperial Fragments
- Imperial City Sewer Sweepers (Elite wandering bosses) drop 6 Imperial Fragments
- Veteran Mode Imperial City Prison and White Gold Tower bosses drop 2 Imperial Fragments

Imperial City District Trophy Vault Vendor (Tur’s Wares)
New Imperial City Trophy Vault Vendor Tur
In ESO, you can use the Fragments to buy Gear, Collectibles, Materials and other goodies from the new vendor Tur that can be found in Imperial Vaults. For example you can buy a tradeable Style Page: Molag Kena’s Shoulder for 300 Fragments from the White Gold Tower Vault.

All Imperial City Sewer vendors have had their wares streamlined and it is now easier to buy the sets you need as some of the coffers are curated. Below you will find a list of all Imperial City vendors and their wares.
Where are ESO Imperial City Vendors Located?
Imperial City Merchants in ESO are located in each alliances sewer base signified by a shield and sword icon. Aldmeri Dominion Tel Var Merchants are located on the western end of the base, Daggerfall Covenant Tel Var Merchants are on the southern most part of the base and Ebonheart Pacts Tel Var Merchants are located in the eastern most part of the base.
How to get to Imperial City: Go to Alliance War-> Campaigns-> Imperial City -> right click and choose “Enter Campaign”.
ESO Tel Var Merchant (IC Weekly Vendor) Wares
ESO Imperial City Rotating Merchant wares example from live PC Servers
The ESO Tel Var Merchant changes their wares weekly at the same time as the Scholarium Vendor and the Infinite Archive Merchant. There will be new items each week, the types of which are listed below:

Imperial City Dungeon Trophy Vault Wares (New Dremora Vendor Tur)
ESO White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison Vault locations on map
White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison Trophy Vault chests in ESO have been removed and you will instead now find the new Dremora merchant Tur. Tur sells uncurated coffers for their respective dungeon sets in exchange for Imperial Fragments. Additionally you can buy unbound Shoulder Style pages which are normally only available for a short period of time and bought with Undaunted Keys.
