In Dragons Dogma 2, the Arisen is able to rest at various Inns throughout the world, along with their party members (Pawns).

This is a common feature in many RPG games, but in some games it isn’t so useful – for example in Skyrim, the only reward you got for resting in an Inn was a tiny (and temporary) XP boost and the ability to skip time. So how is the resting system in DD2? Is it worth doing? In this article, we will answer this question and explain if staying in an Inn is useful, and why.

How to Rest at an Inn in Dragon’s Dogma 2

To rest at an Inn, you simply need to head inside the Inn and speak to the NPC innkeeper.

Should I Rest at an Inn in DD2?

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are a few benefits to resting at an Inn, and a couple of them are very important.

Staying at an Inn will have the following effects:

  • The Health and Stamina of you and your party are fully restored.
  • The Loss Gauge is fully recovered. This is a temporary reduction in your health that accumulates when taking damage, essentially simulating a temporary injury that you sustain after taking some hits. Resting will make this reset.
  • You can choose if you want to wake up in the morning or at night, which is helpful if you need to go somewhere at a certain time of day, or just prefer travelling at a certain time.

With this in mind, we can see that staying in an Inn in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is very useful compared to some other RPG games, and it’s definitely worth doing quite often. If your party if beaten up after a series of tough fights, then consider going to the nearest Inn for a rest before proceeding any further with your current quest or adventure.

We hope you found this short DD2 guide about Resting useful and interesting.
