Today we are going to look at the Sword and Shield Weapon Type Class in Throne and Liberty. The Sword and Shield is a defensive weapon type that is used for tanking and aggroing mobs. Additionally, we are also taking a look at the Mastery Skill Tree that comes with the Sword and Shield.

4. Chain Hook
Inflicts Collision: Pull effect with 80% chance and binds for 3s. Using it on a boss monster will move you to its location.

6. Shield Throw

7. Fortress

9. Fierce Clash
Deals 220% of Base Damage to the target, with a 80% chance to inflict Collision: Push on them. Has the same chance to inflict Push on other enemies that collide with the target, along with decreased damage. The target is Stunned for 3s if collides into a wall.
Sword and Shield Passive Skills in Throne and Liberty
Sword and Shield Passives in Throne and Liberty are skills that are not actively slotted on your skill bar. However, they are always active no matter which of the two weapons you have currently equipped. This makes for good combos.

Aegis Shield | For every 1% of Shield Block Chance, Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense increase by 9.6. Reduce Damage: Shield always increases by 5.5%. | |
Spectrum of Agony | Whenever you successfully attack a target you have Provoked, increases the remaining Provoke duration by 0.4s and deals damage equal to 72% of Base Damage + 37 to other Provoked targets within a 3m radius. | |
Gerad’s Patience | Increases all CC Resistance by 18.75 for 3s upon each successful evasion, Shield Block, or defense against Fury Attacks. Stacks up to 10 times. | |
Impenetrable | Increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense based on the number of enemies within a 9m radius. Increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense by 299 if there are 2 or fewer enemies within range, by 400 if there are 3 to 6 enemies, and by 820 if there are 7 or more enemies. | |
Morale Boost | Colliding the target with another decreases the remaining cooldown of all skills by 20%. Each subsequent collision in the chain decreases the remaining cooldown of all skills by 11.7%. |
The closer you are to a target attacking you within 10m, your Ranged and Magic Evasion increase even more; 30 per 1m, up to 300. Additionally increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Evasion by up to 120 against targets you Provoked.
Evading an attack restores Mana by 46.2, and Health by 21. Each successful Shield Block and Attack Block restores Mana by 35.7% of the damage blocked.
3. Aegis Shield
For every 1% of Shield Block Chance, Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense increase by 9.6. Reduce Damage: Shield always increases by 5.5%.
Whenever you successfully attack a target you have Provoked, increases the remaining Provoke duration by 0.4s and deals damage equal to 72% of Base Damage + 37 to other Provoked targets within a 3m radius.
Increases all CC Resistance by 18.75 for 3s upon each successful evasion, Shield Block, or defense against Fury Attacks. Stacks up to 10 times.
6. Impenetrable
Increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense based on the number of enemies within a 9m radius. Increases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense by 299 if there are 2 or fewer enemies within range, by 400 if there are 3 to 6 enemies, and by 820 if there are 7 or more enemies.
7. Morale Boost
Colliding the target with another decreases the remaining cooldown of all skills by 20%. Each subsequent collision in the chain decreases the remaining cooldown of all skills by 11.7%.
