Welcome to the Throne and Liberty Leveling Grind Guide. We are going to explain how to level up fast with this TL guide. Throne and Liberty is a Korean MMO but it isn’t that difficult to get from level 1 to 50 within a few days. However, that doesn’t mean the game will end there. Once you reach the max level you can start farming endgame materials and gear.

Throne and Liberty Quest Leveling System Explained

Before we start with the leveling process it is important to understand how Throne and Liberty works. You should also be aware that it isn’t one of the classic grind monsters until you hit maximum level experience like other MMOs often are.

Throne and Liberty has four different Quest Contracts that you have to be aware of:

  • Purple – Main Storyline Contracts
  • Blue – Exploration Contracts
  • Yellow – Daily Contracts
  • Green – Guild Contracts

The Purple Main Storyline Contracts are important for a new character. Not only do they give tremendous amounts of EXP, but they also teach you the basics of the game like Gear Enchanting and other good Tips and Tricks for Throne and Liberty. Additionally, you also get really good rewards from the purple quests.

The Blue Exploration Contracts encourage you to explore the world of Throne and Liberty and interact with various NPCs. When you are exploring, make sure to unlock the Waypoints you get close to.

The Yellow Daily Contracts become available at level 11. The dailies give good EXP and also good rewards that will help you level up equipment.

The Green Guild Contracts are exclusive to guilds, therefore make sure to join a guild as soon as possible. You will get rewards as a guild and for yourself.

Keep your eye on the prize: Follow the purple Main Storyline quest because you will also unlock new content by progressing this. And the new content will also give you a good EXP boost.

Best Ways for Fast Leveling in Throne and Liberty

Now let’s take a look at the best ways for fast leveling in Throne and Liberty. Grinding and leveling up fast works differently from past NCSoft games where you could just farm monsters all the time. With Throne and Liberty, you want to make sure to participate in different activities to both unlock new content and gain EXP fast.

Here are the best leveling methods in Throne and Liberty:

  • Complete Contracts
  • Participate in Events
  • Grind Monsters
  • Clear Dungeons
  • Gather Materials

Complete Contracts

At the start of Throne and Liberty the most efficient way to level up is by simply completing the purple Main Storyline Contracts. This will propel you to level 10 within no time. You can also pick up blue Exploration Contracts on the way and complete them if you are in the near vicinity, otherwise don’t bother with them yet.

Yellow Daily Contracts can also be picked up (Unlocks with level 11) every day and they will also give a good amount of EXP and more important rewards such as materials.

Make sure to keep an eye on the Quest tracker on the right side, here you will find your most important quests. Also don’t forget to pick up the rewards by pressing H from time to time. This will open up the reward queue and you can take all rewards that are there at once.

TLDR: Focus on the PURPLE Main Storyline Contracts and do Blue Exploration and Yellow Daily Contracts if they don’t get you off track for too long.

The fastest way to level up in Throne and Liberty is by completing the purple Main Storyline Contracts.

How to complete Daily Contracts in Throne and Liberty

Here is a quick example of how Yellow Daily Contracts can be a great way to earn fast experience in Throne and Liberty. Depending on where you are y0u will get Daily Contract Quests in a certain area. That means you can hit two birds with one stone. In our example all the contracts are happening in the Blackhowl Plains because we picked them up in Kastleton.

Most of it is simply defeating the right Wolves in that area and that is it. So we can complete all of them and earn a tremendous amount of experience and good rewards. Totally worth it to quickly stop our Purple Main Storyline progression in TL.

Yellow Daily Contracts Manager TL

Not only that, but you don’t even have to go back to the Daily Quest Contract Manger. You can simply open up your notification window (H) and claim all the rewards. This is a great timesaver implemented by the NCSoft devs.

Note: Completing Daily Contracts also gives you “Contract Coins” that you can spend at the Contract Coin Merchant which is located next to the Daily Contract Manager. This will help progress gear faster.

Participate in Events

Events are a big cornerstone for Throne and Liberty. There are plenty of events popping up over the map that you should rush to. You can even find an Eventtracker in-game. That way you can already plan which event you want to take part in. Events often give you simple tasks like slaying as many monsters as possible within a certain time limit.

Events give a tremendous amount of EXP and items, which is why they are a must-do on your leveling-up list in Throne and Liberty. If you manage to finish an event in the Top 10 ranked players you will get an even crazier amount of rewards, but that is tough to do because there will always be a higher-level player than you.

Events in Throne and Liberty:

  • Tremendous amount of EXP reward
  • Plenty of Items/Mats
  • Easy to plan

Like with most other methods it is recommended to plan what events you want to complete while you are progressing through the Purple Main Storyline Contracts.

Wolf Hunting Contest

One example of an Event is the Wolf Hunting Contest which will likely be your first event that you encounter because it is close to the starting city. The Wolf Hunting Contest is held in the Blackhowl Plains just above Kastleton. The event tasks you to farm as many Wolf Tails as possible by slaying Wolves. After that, you have to place them in one of the three Delivery Chests in the area.

The only problem here is that only the player that deals the most damage to a Wolf will get a tail. And there will be plenty of players. Especially the higher level players are likely to steal Wolf Tails from you. That is why you should make sure to find a good spot where you won’t be constantly interrupted.

Go to your map, then select the fourth point “Timetable”. There you can find everything that is going to happen in the next hours or days. When you click on one of the events it will also show you what rewards you can obtain from the event in Throne and Liberty.

Grinding Monsters

Another effective way to gain levels fast in Throne and Liberty is by grinding monsters, who would have thought! Like always make sure to find appropriate grind spots for your level where you can pull in plenty of monsters. It is also recommended to have a good Throne and Liberty Build that has AoE damage. For example, the Brawler Greatsword Build has good splash damage. You can of course grind with any type of build, but you should try to aim for defeating as many monsters as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Good Throne and Liberty Grindspots:

However, the problem with grinding monsters is that often other players have the same idea. And that means the grind spots are cluttered with players. Especially when Throne and Liberty is fresh and new grind spots will be overfilled with players, keep that in mind.

The best way to go about this is to continue completing the Purple Mainstoryline Contracts. And if you find a good spot where you can farm some monsters (or while you are on your daily) without much interruption from other players stay there for a while to get some extra experience, then continue with your quests.

For example in the screenshot below you can farm Wolves for a bit while also completing the Daily Contract quest. But don’t stick to one place for too long because eventually earned EXP will drop lower if you are too high level.

Completing Dungeons

The great benefit of a Dungeon in Throne and Liberty is that it is instanced. That means nobody can “steal” your monsters and therefore lower your EXP gain. Dungeons often have several floors that you can complete with different level requirements. Dungeons offer high experience gain and great rewards, but they are also often tough to complete.

Make sure to bring friends into a group dungeon. This method is only recommended if you have a well-organized Throne and Liberty group that can clear the Dungeons efficiently.

Here is a list of all Throne and Liberty Dungeons:

  • Syleus’s Abyss:
    • Floor 1-2: Level 20-24
    • Floor 3-4: Level 44-48
    • Floor 5-6: Level 50
  • Temple of Sylaveth:
    • Floor 1: Level 29-33
    • Floor 2: Level 31-33
  • Shadowed Crypt: TBA
  • Sanctum of Desire:TBA
  • Saurodama Island: TBA
  • Ant Nest:
    • Level 35-39

Like with grinding monsters, it is best to do dungeons on the way between Purple Main Storyline quests.

Taedal’s Tower SOLO Dungeon

If you aren’t a big fan of grouping up with other players then there is a SOLO dungeon for you in Throne and Liberty. The SOLO dungeon is called the Taedal’s Tower. This is the ultimate test for you as a SOLO player, the Taedal’s Tower consists of several floors and you have to clear each floor before you can move to the next floor. There is also a time requirement, you have exactly five minutes to clear out one floor, otherwise the monsters go into enrage mode.

However, while you should complete this while progressing through the Purple Main Storyline, it isn’t something you should waste too much time on.

Gathering Materials

Like in every MMO you can also gather plenty of materials in Throne and Liberty. While you are doing quests make sure to pick up materials that you can find. Picking up mats rewards you with experience. Of course you won’t get a huge amount of EXP per material, but if you keep picking up stuff on the go this can stack your EXP gains pretty high. Not only that, but you also gain plenty of materials that you can later use for crafting valuable items or you can simply sell them for gold.

In short gathering materials in Throne and Liberty:

  • Decent EXP while walking around
  • Grants you Materials for item crafting

Once again this method alone won’t be of much use but you can simply do this on the go while progressing the main storyline or while exploring.

What to do after reaching max Level 50 in TL?

Once you have reached level 50 in Throne and Liberty that doesn’t mean the game is done. The real grind just begins! Now that you have reached the maximum level you can start worrying about equipment and leveling up your skills. After all you want to have good gear and high level skills, this is where the real bottleneck of Throne and Liberty sits.

Bonus Tip about Waypoints in Throne and Liberty

This might sound a bit obvious but often players forget to unlock Waypoints in Throne and Liberty. If you are in a certain area make sure to not forget to unlock the Waypoint that is close by. Sometimes it is even worth already exploring a bit ahead to unlock another Waypoint in advance. Then you won’t have to walk all the way there again. This also helps with progressing faster, be it for Daily Contracts, Exploration or any other activity in the game.
