Welcome to the Ahzreil Guild Boss Guide for Throne & Liberty.
In this guide, we will explain how the Ahzreil boss fight works, including all of the mechanics and attacks and the correct strategy for defeating the boss.
Ahzreil is a Level 50 boss that can be fought in either the open world or via the guild system. To fight Ahzreil in the open world, look for him at the Shattered Temple. If your guild is level 17 or higher, you can fight the boss via the Guild Hall.
We will now look at the mechanics of Azhreil in Throne and Liberty.
Ahzreil Boss Mechanics in Throne & Liberty
Ahzreil has a fairly small amount of mechanics and attacks compared to other bosses in TL. The attacks he does perform deal heavy damage, though, so it’s essential to learn how they work and how to avoid them. We will explain Ahzreil’s attacks and mechanics below:
- Flaming Stream – Ahzreil projects a narrow line of fire. Sidestep this quickly to avoid it – you will take heavy damage if it hits you.
- Meteors – Blue areas will appear on the ground. These areas are about to be hit by a meteor, so you should ensure you are not standing there when this happens. Keep an eye on the ground beneath your character to avoid being surprised.
- Fury Attack – Like most bosses in Throne & Liberty, Ahzreil has a Fury Attack that must be blocked with good timing. When this happens, Ahzreil launches a projectile at every player in the raid, and if you don’t block or if you get the timing wrong, you’ll be hit by it. Watch out for the purple Fury Attack indicator on the boss, which will appear shortly before this happens.
- Fire Totems – Three fire totems spawn around the arena. At the same time, Ahzreil begins sucking players towards the middle of the arena, and three players receive a fire orb that will float above their heads. These players must take the red orbs to the fire totems to destroy them. The entire raid will be killed if the fire totems are not dealt with. One totem left alone can be manageable, as this will just deal heavy damage to the entire raid, but two or more totems left standing is a certain wipe.
These four mechanics are pretty much all there is to the Ahzreil fight in Throne & Liberty. Once you’re comfortable with the AOEs, dodging the Fury Attacks, and have seen the Fire Totem mechanic unfold a couple of times, you should be able to do this boss quite easily and put more of your attention on DPS.
After cycling through the above mechanics, Ahzreil will continue to repeat them until the fight ends.
