Magicka Warden Build PVP “Wildling”
Welcome to the Magicka Warden Build “Wildling” for Elder Scrolls Online. Make sure to bookmark the link as I will keep updating the build for each new Update of ESO.
The Wildling is a PvP Build for the Championpoints campaign, which can be played solo or in a group.
This is a prototype build, it has to be further tested and optimized. The Warden class has yet to be released to find the full potential of the build. However, with this here you will kind of be able to see the basics of the class and where you want to build it towards! So lets get started!
With the Wildling build we are focusing on high burst damage. It is a Light Armor build with huge shields and good resource management. We are using Necropotence which gives us a huge magicka pool. Combined with Shrould of the Lich which covers the recovery part! It is very important that you do understand that you need to keep up your shields at all times. We are in Light Armor, if we drop our shields you will die very fast. On top of that we do have about twice as fast Ultimate generation as other classes, because we have access to Major Heroism, which no other class has! It is quite difficult to actually line up our burst damage correctly, it requires good positioning. You might want to practice this on Target Skeletons first to get used to it.

Gear [Best in Slot]
Why 7x Light? We are using Dampen Magicka shield ability, which increases in size the more Light Armor pieces we have.
Shroud of the Lich: This provides us with the necessary resource management. If you think you do not need it, feel free to choose another set!
Shock vs Fire Staff: We might want to go for a fire staff later on, as it will give us 8% more damage on Single Target skills. However, I do like the Shock staff because of the undodgeable Heavy Attacks
Beginner setup? I will add this later once I tested this setup more!

Where can I get the gear?
- Destructive Reach: This ability is here to stun the enemy the moment Deep Fissure and Cliff Racer hit the enemy together with insane damage! So they have no means of avoiding the damage.
- Deep Fissure: This is the most difficult ability to use, as you need to plan ahead to line up the attack so ít hits the enemy.
- Screaming Cliff Racer: This ablitiy is undodgeable, which makes it very strong.
- Bird of Prey: This ability gives us 8% more overall damage and on top of that provides us with the speedbuff!
- Dampen Magicka: This is our main shield, it has to be up at all times. If we drop it and do not reapply it fast enough, you will die very fast.
- Sleet Storm: Deals good damage and gives us insane damage mitigation.
- Healing Ward: In case we need an extra shield when we drop to low health!
- Crystallized Shield: This provides us with the insane Ultimate Generation. Major Heroism buff.
- Enchanted Growth: This is our burstheal, similar to Breath of Life.
- Growing Swarm: Nice damage over time effect that we want to keep on our enemy.
- Blue Belly Netch: This has two functions, first it gives us Major Sorcerery, giving us the Spelldamage buff. And second, enemies might hit the Netch instead of you! It also gives us the Necropotence buff!
- Lights Champion: This is a very cheap ultimate, gives us great protection and can boost our burst combo.

Possible issues with the build
Mobility – We do not have any escape abilities or ways to get away fast. We might want to get Vampire with Mist Form. Maybe the Bird of Prey skill is already enough, providing us with a permanent speed buff as long as we keep it up!
Burst Combo – Might be too difficult to line up correctly. Have to test this once PTS is live!
Championpoints [630 CP]
Championpoint changes with Morrowind? There might be some adjustments to CP with Morrowind. Once we know, have to further test this!
30 Shattering Blows
100 Elemental Expert, 20 Elfborn, 60 Spell Erosion
60 Hardy, 60 Elemental Defender
Championpoints for Magicka Warden Build Wildling [300 CP]
Keep in mind, that you might have to invest into some Health attributes. Because you will have less health with lower Championpoints!
