Magicka Sorcerer Imperial City Pet Build “Evocation”
Welcome to the Magicka Sorcerer Imperial City Pet Build “Evocation” for Elder Scrolls Online. Make sure to bookmark the link as I will keep updating the build for each new Update of ESO. This build is specifically made for Imperial City and only functions there. The gear is rather difficult to get, as we use specific sets. I do recommend this build to experienced players only.
Important: This is an Prototype build and needs to be further tested and optimized! If you feel the need to change around skills go for it. There is many great combination that you can test out.
This build is specifically made for Imperial City. We are utilizing an Imperial City specific set called “Imperial Physique” which requires us to run a minimum of 10k Tel Var stones to activate the set. Once activated it will boost our Magicka, Stamina & Health resources like crazy! On top of that we are using Necropotence which gives us another huge Magicka resource boost! Those two sets are the reason why we end up with so much Magicka. And as you know, Hardened Ward, the Sorcerer shield, gets stronger the higher your magicka is. Our Shields are basically indestructible. On top of that our pets also do scale of Max Magicka. So the more Magicka we have the more damage our pets will do, its completely insane. It might take you a while to get used to this kind of setup as it has a quite special playstyle! Once you master it you are basically unkillable! You could modify the build with another set to make it work in Cyrodiil.
- Imperial City specific build
- Youc an solo all bosses in Imperial City
- Crazy Magicka pool
- Crazy Sustain
- Crazy damage from pets
- Huge shields
Playstyle with Magicka Sorcerer Pet Build Evocation
As you can see, we have a very limited amount of skills on our bars because Pets need to be double slotted. I do prefer playing with two pets. However, if you want more skills you could only play with one if you want to. Our main damage comes from pets. Daedric Prey buffs our pets damage like crazy. It is basically impossible for the enemy to heal through it because the damage is so high. On top of that we keep him busy with Heavy Attacks from Shock staff which are not dodgeable. Meanwhile the enemy can not even penetrate our Shields because they are insanely huge due to our max Magicka. Pets also do scale of Max Magicka, that is one of the reasons why they do so much crazy damage. You can also solo everything in Imperial City, once you are used to the build.
If you want you could push for up to 70k Magicka. However I do think that you will achieve the most potential with the setup I list below!
A few things regarding the pets from Sorcerer. Hardened Ward shields yourself and your pets, which is important and this also makes it very hard to actually kill our pets. Pets do scale of max magicka. As you can see we have a ton of magicka, that is why our pets hit for such a insane amount of damage. Pets are not affected by Championpoints. Pets have special abilities, which you also need to activate.
Gear [Best in Slot]
The gear might be slightly tricky to get, especially Imperial Physique, it is definitely worth it tho! It does not matter which parts of what set you use on what slots, as long as you have 5x Necropotence, 5x Imperial Physique and 1x Monster Set with a Magicka bonus you are good to go! Also, if you slot Imperial Physique on weapons, you will always get a TICK sound when you weapon swap. To avoid that you could get Necropotence Stabves.
Why Impenetrable? You can use Divine or Infused on the small pieces if you prefer. I do like the Impenetrable in case my Shield drops for a second, to get the extra mitigation.
|Weapon 1||Imperial Physique||Shock||Sharpened||Drain Magicka Poison|
|Weapon 2||Imperial Physique||Resto||Sharpened/Infused||Crusher|
Where can I get the gear?
Twilight Tormentor vs Twilight Mattriarch: If you play with a Restoration Staff on the backbar with Healing Ward, then I recommend using the Tormentor as that pet deals insane amount of damge to high health enemies. If you do not have any other healing skill on your bars, then make sure to use the Mattriarch morph, as it will be your only heal. The Mattriarchs heal is stronger then Breath of Life.
Why Elemental Drain? This gives us a lot of Magicka back and reduces the enemies Resistances by 5280, which is a huge damage increase for us.
Blockade of Shock: Use Blockade of Shock and put 75 Points into Thaumaturge to get an additional 10% extra damage from the Off-Balance Perk!
Why Boundless Storm? Can proc Off-Balance together with Blockade of Shock and also can proc IMPLOSION which hits like a truck with our 32k health.
Why no Force Pulse? Other Skills are more optimal, because of off balance and imposion. Our mainskill is Heavy Attacks, which help us restore magicka and also deal a ton of damage.
Pets: Do not forget to activate the skills of the pets.

Overload Bar: The overload bar is only here in case we really need it. I only recommend swapping to it before we engage into combat. The only new skills on there are Power Surge and Dark Conversion.
