Magicka Sorcerer Frost Build “Frostmage”

Introduction

Welcome to the Magicka Sorcerer Frost Build “Frostmage” for Elder Scrolls Online. Make sure to bookmark the link as I will keep updating the build for each new Update of ESO.

The “Frostmage” build is made for PvE Solo, Dungeon and Trials content. This build is made for those that want a frost themed buildsetup, it does achieve good damage. If you want a build that reaches the maxium damage potential I do recommend check out my Magicka Sorcerer Build “Mystic” or my Magicka Sorcerer Pet Build “Summoner”.

General Information

Magicka Sorcerers are currently one of the strongest setups in Elder Scrolls Online. They are both insane efficient both ranged and melee, plus they have strong shields which makes survival easy. The special Destruction staff passives make Shock staves a powerful tool for Magicka Sorcerers. Shock heavy attacks are one of the strongest Area of Effect (AoE) attacks. On top of that, they are for free and restore Magicka! You will never have any problems with resource management during trashfights. Same thing on bossfights, if you drop low, simplay heavyattack one or two times and you are good to go!

On top of that, we are using Volatile Familiar pet combined with the Necropotence set which gives us a huge magicka resource pool.

Frost themed build
Good single target (ST) damage
Ranged build
Good area of effect (AoE) Damage
Easy survivability due to magicka shield
Trials, Dungeons, Solo & Open World, it works everywhere!

Gear [Best in Slot]

This setup will give you good damage output. If you do play in dungeons & trials you could also use Moondancer instead of Spinner’s Garment’s to get the minor slayer buff.

Gear [Beginner]

This setup is dedicated to people that have not had the chance to farm the necessary gear for the Best in Slot stuff for the Magicka Sorcerer Frost Build. All the gear here is either craftable or cheap to get in a guildstore. Make sure to ask a friend to craft Seducer and Julianos gear for you. I do recommend that you are aiming for 17k health. To achieve this you can buy one or two Willpower rings with a healthy trait.

Why Seducer? you can use another set if you want, I do think it is a good set to start as it offers good cost reduction and magicka recovery. You will still have good Spell Damage through your Spell Damage Glyphs.
