Table of Contents

Introduction

Welcome to the Magicka Sorcerer Build PvE “Mystic” for Elder Scrolls Online. Make sure to bookmark the link as I will keep updating the build for each new Update of ESO. You can also find a Magicka Sorcerer Pet Build on my website if you prefer pets!

The Magicka Sorcerer Build PvE “Mystic” is made for Trials, Dungeons & Maelstrom Arena. You can also play this for all the Solo content with some minor adjustments. This build is made for people that do not like to run pets, if you want max damage output I recommend running the Summoner Magicka Sorcerer Pet Build.

Shock abilities give you a huge advantage in terms of damage output due to concussion, as all enemies will take 8% more damage once concussion is applied, this build gives you a lot of uptime on concussion so you will help your group out a lot with extra damage. Once an enemy is concussed our Blockade of Shock will apply Off-Balance on the enemy, giving us another 10% more damage! On top of that you can get a huge amount of magicka, which makes your shields stronger and makes survivability pretty easy. And with Heavy Attacks from Shock staves you will have an easy time sustaining in trashfights and deal a ton of damage at the same time!

  • Good single target (ST) damage
  • Insane ranged & melee damage
  • High area of effect (AoE) Damage
  • Shock Themed Build
  • Good sustain
  • Easy survivability due to magicka shield
  • Trials, Dungeons & Maelstrom Arena

Changes from the previous version

Updated and optimized Championpoints. Mechanical Acuity outpeforms Julianos, so our mainsetup will be using Mechanical Acuity now (if you want to keep Julianos, still a very strong set). I also added the Asylum Staff as our mainweapon, as this improves our DPS tremendously. We are now using Ilambris Monster set, so I put a Health Glyph on my Chestpiece, to be around 16,4k Health. We are still using Shock Staff on the backbar, if you want to swap to fire staff go for it. I do think it will still be important because of concussion. Plus a Sorcerer have Shock damage modifiers which other classes do not have. Also slightly adjusted the allocation of skills.

Resource Management

If you feel like that you need more sustain, you can always use a Cost Reduction Glyph/Recovery Glyph if you want. We run Witchmothers Brew which will give you a lot of magicka recovery. That combined with CP and other stuff puts you at quite a high Recovery rate which is enough to sustain a Light attack rotation.

Trials & Dungeons Setup

Magicka Sorcerer Build PvE

Spell Power Potion, Spelldmg Enchant  and Mechanical Acuity were active, using Witchmothers Brew Drink. 1 Health Glyph on the Chest.

Gear

  • Magic Damage Enchantment: This both deals damage and also helps us sustain better. We already have access to the three status effects through our Asylum Staff, that is why you do not necessarily need a Shock or Fire Enchant there.
  • Perfect vs Imperfect Asylum: I highly recommend getting a Perfect version of the Asylum staff, as you will apply the status effects way more than with the Imperfect one. Make sure to do the Weekly Trial, if it is Asylum, with as much Characters as possible to get a chance for that perfect staff.
  • Fire vs Shock Staff on backbar? If you have already enough concussion on the target (Minor Vulnerability) then I recommend running a Fire Staff on the backbar.

Rotation & Skeleton Parse

Before the fight starts drink a potion and then wait a few seconds, drop Ultimate whenever it is ready. If you drop low on Magicka you can always do a Heavy Attack instead of a Force Pulse.

Liquid Lightning > Weapon Swap
> Light Attack > Blockade of Storms >Haunting Curse > Weapon Swap
> Light Attack > Force Pulse >  Light Attack > Force Pulse  > Light Attack > Force Pulse > Light Attack >Liquid Lightning > Weapon Swap
> Light Attack > Blockade of Storms > Light Attack > Haunting Curse >Weapon Swap > Light Attack > Force Pulse >  Light Attack > Force Pulse  > Light Attack > Force Pulse > Light Attack > Liquid Lightning > Weapon Swap
Restart

Skeleton Parse

Keep in mind, I changed to lover mundus for this test, in raids I still do recommend running apprentice mundus.
